Gibberish / Past Incident
Beginners have varying success with Gibberish. In this orientation game,(as Spolin says) expect the gibberish to be mostly done with pantomimic gestures.
Also when presenting the game do not tell them how, just ask them to solve the problem on their own. It’s always tempting for the leader to answer a lot of ‘how do we do this?’ questions. As you’ll see in this video, I state that I do not want to give specific instructions. This is a habit to develop for coaches/teacher/directors. When the problem is solved in this manner, it becomes integrated in the student’s own experience and more and more fluency will come with practice.
