One Word Story – King of the Hill Gary Schwartz
Practice pushing the limits of spontaneous story building.
This is a version of Build a Story – One-Word-at-a-Time, often called Story, Story Die!
Rather than being an elimination game and creating a funny death to celebrate your failure, this version allows you to stay in and keep challenging the “King of the Hill”.
The aim is to enhance your impulse to respond instantly. A great warm-up and really fun.
Throughout Orientation, pleasure and enthusiasm must set the tone. If players are apprehensive and anxious, constantly looking to see if they are doing “right,” in your urgency you may be a pedant rather than a leader or guide of the group. You may be giving too many problems in one session, not allowing players to have the experience of flow as they would from a game.
